What we collect
- Account information: your email address, a protected password hash, session information, the version and time of policy acceptance, and whether your account owns the Browser Edition.
- Purchase information: transaction identifiers, purchase status, product information, and the email associated with the purchase. Stripe and Link process the payment itself; Measured Arc Games does not receive or store your full card number.
- Mailing-list information: your email address, confirmation and unsubscribe records, and subscription status when you ask for Wyrmhold updates.
- Messages: the information you include when you contact support.
- Technical information: Cloudflare may process IP addresses, browser and device details, requested URLs, timestamps, and security or error logs while delivering and protecting the site.
Game saves stay on your device
Night Cartographer stores game progress in the local storage provided by your browser. Measured Arc Games does not currently upload or synchronize that progress. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching browsers or devices can remove or leave that progress behind.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- create and secure accounts;
- attach a Browser Edition purchase to the correct account;
- deliver the game and restore purchase access after login;
- send updates you requested and process unsubscribe requests;
- answer support, refund, and account questions;
- detect abuse, diagnose failures, and keep the service reliable; and
- meet accounting, fraud-prevention, and other applicable obligations.
Cookies and local storage
The website uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and confirm access to the game. The game uses browser storage for local progress. We do not currently use advertising cookies, sell personal information, or run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts, stores, protects, and helps send email for the service. Stripe and Link process Browser Edition transactions through Stripe Managed Payments and handle transaction support. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Windows purchases made through itch.io are governed by itch.io’s checkout and privacy practices.
Retention and your choices
We keep account and purchase records while needed to provide access, support the transaction, protect the service, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Mailing-list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, subject to minimal suppression records needed to honor that choice. Security and operational logs are retained according to the services that produce them.
You can unsubscribe from Wyrmhold email using the link in any message. To ask about, correct, export, or delete information associated with your account, email contact@measuredarcgames.com from the address connected to the account. Some transaction records may need to be kept after an account is closed.
Children
The account and purchase services are not intended for children under 13 to use on their own. A parent or guardian should handle purchases and contact us if they believe a child provided account information without permission.
